I had a cold one night, and couldn't get to sleep very well. During that time, I kept coming up with various images of grace. Very hilariously, I realized that there were two characters named Grace on those two different shows (this also holds true for the Adams on Highlander and Tomorrow People, and the three various versions of Richard on Highlander, Forever Knight, and The Tomorrow People). One is Nat's assistant, Grace. The other is Kevin Collins' dead love, Grace, who he thought he had killed. (And yes, now I've got a pair of Kevins, too.)
Even though this was a fairly recent vignette, I can't remember much about it. It was an answer to the song challenge (among others) on FKFIC, and the song chosen in this case was "Whispered Words" by Peter, Paul, and Mary on their album "No Easy Walk to Freedom." I didn't realize what I'd be writing, and the story came out different than I envisioned.
This was a piece I wrote to wish a belated happy birthday to Jennise Hall, my Reader (responsible for editing quite a bit of my stuff), but the hilarious thing is, that I missed the new year by a few minutes (the result of which was that I was the last story of one year instead of the first of the new).
The first anything I wrote that featured Tracy and Vachon. In this case, the story was triggered by the death of my Great-Aunt Bertha LeRoque, who died on February 12, 1996. Her husband, Fritz (Frederick) LeRoque, had died a few years back (see Death, Undying). At least she died peacefully, and she knew when to give up her strength for peace.
