Every so often for a while on the Highlander list, someone would stop to wonder "Is Horton dead?" (Horton being one of the recurring mortal baddies on the series). Well, I had this weird vision of Horton possibly surviving by being a vampire. So I decided to write it out, and this is what I came up with. The amusing thing is most people thought it was part one of a longer story (okay, so I left it hanging a little...).
This was written for two reasons: one, because I was thinking about my two Great-Uncles who had died within a year of each other, and two, because I was looking for a piece to welcome the then-new HLFIC-L list. The story is based after the episode "Studies in Light" because I could just *see* Duncan and Tessa having the conversation after Linda Plager's funeral.

This one was triggered off by Kittie's Power Rangers story, "I'll Remember". We both used the same song, by Madonna, but hers was about the characters Billy and Jason, while mine is kind of a rememberance about Tessa.
