This document may be distributed free of charge providing that it remains intact and my name stays attached to it. (Now, why anyone would want to distribute it, I don't know.)
1.2 Why was this put together?
Because I finally put a link from the main E:FC fanfic page and I was hoping to head off questions at the pass. This document answers some questions that I think might come up, as well as some explanatory info about the serials on this page.
1.3 The history of the Oddities page
Basically, this page started because I wanted a spot to put my smaller serials that I inevitably write. Occasionally, I just want to write a story or series of stories for a character I thought was neat and wanted to continue writing. So, one revision of my fanfic pages, I created this section for my two small serials, The Schultz family (originally just Rosemary) and Shadahw. Darla came next, because I wanted to get a feel for her character. And then Vikki came along, because I wanted to write more stuff but I didn't want to stick it on the main page or PS.
1.4 Why are there a lot of E:FC universes on the page?
Because that's what I've been writing since this page was established. Put it down to me not being very satisfied with where E:FC is at the moment, plus that's where my chatty characters are.
1.5 Are any of these series really very popular?
In terms of general readership? In a word, no. None of them have a wide readership. The Schultzes have the biggest readership of the group, followed by Darla. I suspect Vikki will surpass the Schultzes since I recently posted all the previously-unposted stuff on PS. (She's the reason I recently added the link, btw.)
While the stories are not popular, they have won some awards. The Schultz family fics "Tackling Lust" and "Because You Are With Me" won Shaquarava awards in various categories, as did the Vikki fic "The Quietest Change". I wouldn't be surprised if "Leaving..." won awards in the upcoming awards, as it seems to be well-received.

2. Schultz Family related questions
2.1 What is it with the bolded stories for Rosemary and Marianne?
The bolded stories are the incomplete/unfinished stories. Basically, I wanted to have placeholders for them in the serial, as I have things in chronological order.
2.2 Why are there so many PG-13/R-rated stories in this series?
Because there's an awfully large amount of adult topics/themes that are dealt with in the series. This iswhere I hash out reproductive issues and their place in Kimera society, and so I want to warn people that I do so. The only really *bad, don't read* stories of the bunch are "Double Date" (descriptive, no sex) and "Tackling Lust" (fade to black, but still present), the rest should be able to be handled by mature teens.
2.3 Are you going to develop more stories for characters other than Rosemary and Marianne?
You had to ask? Currently, there's stuff going on for Mish'ele/Michelle, Sharilyn, and Ang. (Ang's is currently hard to deal with, however, because I'm working on a rape storyline, which is very depressing.)

3.1 Why are the Darla pieces so short? Are you planning to consolidate them into one story?
Someday. You see, I'm still feeling my way around Darla, who suffers from being British/English where I'm American. So, it's hard to write her. Plus, I'm not too sure about her backstory, or at least the fiddly little details. I know she got there, I'm just still learning how! When I do, these little fragments will come into one story.
3.2 The origins of the name "Darla Bennington"
This was a really simple origin. "Darla" was out of my affection for "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer". "Bennington" just sounded right.

4.1 Does this serial happen in the same universe as the Schultzes and Darla Bennington?
No. Darla and the Schultzes may not even exist in the same universe, even though they originated from the same RPG. Vikki most definitely does not. The Schultzes split off from the E:FC universe somewhere around "Stitch in Time", while Vikki splits off with "The Joining". Ha'gel exists in Vikki's universe, while he's dead for the Schultzes and Darla. And, the greatest difference is that the Kimera are unable to reproduce with an unaltered human in Schultz, while Ha'gel has no such problem with Vikki.
4.2 What are you planning to do with Vikki and her family between "Leaving" and "Making the Right Choice"/After "Waiting for Hope..."?
The storyline in the former is pretty well planned out and telegraphed in "Making the Right Choice" and "Shivering...", if you read those two. The details will come out as I write. As for what happens after? Who knows. I'm hoping that Ha'gel clears his Commonality ties so the family is truly safe.
4.3 The origin of Graeme's and Vikki's names
Okay, I confess. I've liked the name "Graeme" (pronounced "Grahm" for those of you who missed the note in "The Quietest Change") for a long time. It seemed fitting for this story, as the name of the actor who played Randy McDonald (Ha'gel's first host) is a Graeme. Vikki's first name just came out (though I know several Vickis in real life), and the unusual spelling was just how her name came out when I started on "Quietest". Their mutual surname came out of my small interest in Scottish history and in particular the Glencoe Massacre.
4.4 The Hope coincidence
Those who read a lot of E:FC fanfic might have read Mithril's "A Friend in the Dark" and "Family", which do have Ha'gel surviving, and his second child being named "Hope". By some coincidence, "A Friend in the Dark" was posted the same day as "Waiting for Hope...". Well, you've got to admit, it truly *is* a good name for Ha'gel's daughter....
4.5 Why are "Quietest Change" and "Leaving All I Know Behind" posted on both the E:FC fanfic pages and here?
Basically, because I make it policy to post stuff that's been posted on PS onto the E:FC fanfic pages, with the exception of those pieces which were posted here first. Since those two stories were posted on PS first, they go on the page.
