The Tomorrow's Future Universe

Welcome!

You're about to enter a universe that is a lot like our own, except all kinds of extraordinary beings exist unknown to the general public. This is a world where your neighbour's kids might be able to teleport, or the owner of the local grocery store might carry a sword. Or you might even meet your double from another universe.

This is the universe we call "Tomorrow's Future".

What is Tomorrow's Future?

Tomorrow's Future is a fanfiction crossover universe involving the following television series: The Tomorrow People (90's version), Highlander (the series), and Sliders. It is a collaborative effort between Wendy Kelley, Selma McCrory, and Kyrie Daniels, with additional writing by Stephen Fitch.

Not all of the stories involve all of the series crossed over in this universe. Typical characters include Immortals, their Watchers, Tomorrow People, Sliders, and even those mysterious species known as "normal, ordinary people". The Tomorrow's Future universe only represents a subset of the authors' writings.

The history of the Tomorrow's Future project:

In 1993, Selma McCrory started writing the character of Georgina "Greer" Lewis in a Highlander fanfiction story. While she was writing Greer's third adventure, Differing Varieties, she met Wendy Kelley, who posted a Highlander/Tomorrow People crossover vignette on the Highlander fiction list. Since Selma also liked The Tomorrow People, she talked to Wendy, who edited and proofread "Differing Varieties", a Highlander/Tomorrow People crossover.

As Wendy and Selma continued to work on projects, they discussed the possibility of having each other's characters appear in their stories. Eventually, Wendy's character Charity appeared in "With Human Blood", the sequel to "Differing Varieties". Wendy and Selma hammered out a timeline, and agreed to keep writing stories to fit. All of Wendy's Charity writings and all of Selma's Greer stories were put onto the timeline.

Meanwhile, Wendy dared one of her beta readers, Kyrie Daniels, to attempt to write Sliders into the Tomorrow's Future universe. Never one to ignore the call of a challenge, Kyrie agreed and is currently at work on that story, The Prime Factor.
