This is a set of brief bios about characters in the Tomorrow's Future universe. All of these are original characters, and each bio is written by the creating author. Please note that these may contain mild to major spoilers for various stories.


Marmaduke (Marm) Damon IV

Marm, like Melinda (his girlfriend and later fiancee), is a third-generation Tomorrow Person, born in 2029. Unlike his father and grandfather, he has black hair. Marm is adventurous and mischevious in his teens, but is starting to mellow in his 20's. If the Third Generation TP's can be considered to have a leader, he would probably be it. Marm is into botany, and often likes to teleport to remote areas to look at plants. Marm is tall, with black hair and blue eyes.

Marm appears in Part of Growing Up, Cemetery Visit, and Never Alone.

Rachel Caplan

Rachel is a fifteen-year old highschooler. She and her family live in the north suburbs of Chicago. She is one of the first generation of Tomorrow People, born November 17, 1982. She broke out at fifteen after nearly being hit by a car while out bicycle riding. Rachel is athletic and enjoys riding every day. She has a passion for cartoons. She is blonde haired, has brownish eyes, and is of medium height. She was also born severely deaf, and wears a hearing-aid in one ear. She is fluent in American Sign Language and attended the School for the Deaf in Indianapolis until the age of twelve. She has taught herself to speak English, and has some lip-reading skills, but her proficiency is debatable as both skills blossomed at puberty, suggesting that at least some level of her skill is due to telepathy.

Gabrielle "Gabby" Caplan

Gabrielle is twenty years old, and has begun attending North Central Indiana University after earning her Associates degree in Liberal Arts at Community College. She was born June 18, 1978 and was adopted by the Caplans on September 3, 1979. She is the oldest of the three Caplan kids. Gabby loves music and nearly always has music playing in her vicinity, but doesn't have musical talent. She does have a talent for languages, and speaks fluent English, ASL, Hebrew, and Japanese. She is also a bit of a whirlwind, always having a lot going on at once. Unlike her siblings, she has no interest in athletics, preferring to work her mind than her body. She works part time in the Bagel and Deli Shop on campus. Gabby is medium height, has brown hair and brown eyes. She also have a vaguely foreign cast to her features.

Robert "Robbie" Caplan

Robbie is eighteen years old. He is the middle Caplan kid, and the only boy. He was born June 15, 1980. He, like Rachel, is a Tomorrow Person. He broke out before the events of the Origin Story, after missing the potentially winning goal in an International Soccer match. He is very athletic, preferring team sports like soccer and basketball. He is also deeply concerned for his younger sister's health and welfare, and has always championed for her against childhood bullies. Also, like Rachel, he is blond haired and has brownish eyes. He has spent the last three years in a coma.

Michael Gardner

Michael is a Watcher who eventually leaves to marry his longtime friend Georgina (Greer) Lewis. He comes from a family of Watchers. He and Greer met at a party thrown by another Watcher. Michael managed a lot of places before he left the Watchers, and then switched to a life-long interest in fixing mechanical things. However, like Greer, he can never leave his former profession completely behind, and he maintains a keen interest in the affairs of the Tomorrow People. He still has many friends in the Watchers. Michael has brown hair and blue eyes. He is a slight bit handsome, but not enough that he draws a lot of attention to himself.

Georgina "Greer" Lewis

Greer Lewis is an Immortal and an ex-Watcher. She was twenty-nine years old at the time she became Immortal. She is married to Michael Garnder (or at least until he dies). Greer has adopted many of the Tomorrow People, at least informally (like all Immortals, she's sterile), and keeps track of who breaks out, what their adventures are, etc. She is often depressed, but perseveres so that she can make sure that her friends don't get killed off. Greer is a plain-looking woman in her late twenties or early thirties, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Charity McCullen

Charity is an Immortal. She was twenty years old when she became Immortal. At the time, she was married to Charles Ashton, who beat her to death. This was in January, 1807. She has spent much of the subsequent centuries travelling through the English speaking world. She speaks only English fluently, but knows a smattering of Spanish. Every decade or so, since the 1920s, she spends a few years on the North Central Indiana University campus, where she owns and manages her Bagel and Deli Shop. She is often depressed, due more to loneliness than anything. Since the death of her mentor in the 1950s, she hasn't allowed herself any close friendships or relationships. She looks to be in her early- twenties, has dark-blonde hair and brown eyes.

Melinda Skye

Melinda is a young woman whose interest is in History. She is a third generation Tomorrow Person, born in the late 2020's. She broke out at thirteen, right after being grounded. She also has a small interest in science electronics, but not as much as her sister, Vanessa. She is a member of the Watchers, and Watches Georgina Lewis. She is of medium height, and resembles Halle Berry. She prefers comfortable clothes, such as denim jeans.

Michael Skye

Michael is the oldest of the second generation Skye siblings. He has a sister, Angie, and a brother, Asa. He is married to Elizabeth, and they have two daughters, Melinda and Vanessa. Michael, like Elizabeth, majored in history and has a degree from the University of Angel Grove. Like his parents, wife, and one of his daughters, he is a Watcher. He and Elizabeth run a florist's shop. He was born in San Francisco, but spent a portion of his early life in London, and spent a decade and a half living in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, where both daughters were born. Michael plays the flute. He has medium-dark skin, and dark eyes, His hair is slightly curly.

Vanessa Skye

Vanessa is Melinda Skye's sister. Unlike her sister, she enjoys working with electronics, and uses the basement as a lab. She's been trying to discover several things, including the means of interdimensional travel (Sliding) and time travel. She actully manages to build a time-travel machine. Like Melinda, she is a third generation Tomorrow Person. She is about six years younger than Melinda. Like her sister, she likes comfortable clothes, preferrably ones that wash easily due to her poking around so much in machines. Vanessa, like her sister, has light brown skin and dark eyes.

Vanessa appears in Never Alone, but is referred to in Mistakes.

Oliver Tilton

Oliver is a twelve year old, first generation Tomorrow Person. He breaks out in 1996. He is somewhat shy. He and his parents live in Columbus, Ohio. The family is in the witness protection program because his father testified against his former boss. Oliver's birth name was Teague Alexander Orman. Oliver has red hair, glasses, and is slightly chubby.
