The only series I know of that features everyone's favorite sidekick, Eugene Skullovich. Skull's got a good heart, and after making a few selfless choices, heís thrust into the business of being hero. A lot is going on in this story and it all meshes rather well with cannon events. I must warn, however, that is the series is not yet completed.
SilvorMoon is one of my favorite fic authors, she's got action, drama, and humor, all one can really ask for. Magical crystals, conceited immortals, sinister villains, and one hell of an unlikely hero... good stuff. Available at Fanfiction.net as well as the Snowfields of Night.
